See our massive Traction Engines, powerful Ploughing Engines, and classic Steam Rollers moving under their own steam. Head over to the back paddock to watch our restored Earth-moving Machinery—including our famous dragline—do what they were built to do!
Steamfest offers something for everyone, whether you’re a heavy-machinery aficionado or simply looking for a fun day out. Hop aboard our Miniature Railway for a ride through the grounds, or let our tractor-drawn “people mover” give you a tour. Inside our main sheds, you can explore the Lyttelton II Steam Tug’s engines, watch a steam hammer at work, and see our extensive collection of industrial diesels and vintage tractors.
