The AOMC is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1976 that represents over 250 member clubs comprising some 45,000 motoring enthusiasts in Victoria. The Association, run by volunteers, represents all Victorian hobby motorists, including vintage, veteran and classic car, motorcycle and truck enthusiasts.

The AOMC organises a number of large display day events and multi-day tours to showcase the heritage movement and the many vehicles owned and maintained by passionate Victorian enthusiasts. Everyone is welcome to attend and/or enter these annual events.

The AOMC MembershipPLUS program is now in it’s second year and includes the same comprehensive range of insurance covers for car clubs that are much more affordable for all clubs, but especially for smaller clubs.
But even better is the news that the price remains unchanged for 2026/27.
With the rise of electric vehicle ownership governments are turning their attention to recovering the loss of fuel excise duty levied on every litre of petrol and diesel sold in Australia for use in road transport.
This paper seeks to outline what actions may be taken by governments in this regard, what implications this may have for the motoring enthusiast movement, if any, and, what action, if any, the AOMC should take.
The AOMC's newly appointed Archivist, Andrew Alkemade, tells us about the AOMC Engine Number, Registration Number and Spring Specification Search service, and some of the changes made to keep them moving forward.
