Wandin Draught Horse Yesteryear Festival
Over the 2 days, visitors to Mont De Lancey will have the opportunity to experience some of the factors of life in the yesteryears of the local community.
Pride of the weekend is working Draught Horse which will be demonstrating farming practices but also welcoming pats as they rest between jobs in the paddock. There will be displays of stationary engines, vintage machinery and vehicles with their owners there to share history and restoration activities required. There will be some market stalls and food outlets providing both meals and treats that can be enjoyed in the beautiful grounds of Mont De Lancey.
All the museum areas including the homestead will be open for display, showcasing many years of local history. This is a day for all family members with something to interest everyone. We have plenty of parking with disabled parking close to the display areas.

This is not a supersprint or a come‑and‑try day — it’s something much better.
Our Variety Stars on Track Day is all about giving back. It’s about creating joy and unforgettable memories for families and children who face the daily challenges of illness. For one incredible day, we’ll come together at Sandown Raceway to lift spirits, share smiles, and show the power of community.
What we need:
Drivers with a current Motorsport Australia Level 2 licence or above

A track-worthy car is a vehicle that is safe, reliable, and suitably prepared to be driven on a race track. In practical terms, it usually means the car has sound mechanical condition (no fluid leaks, overheating, or reliability issues) and basic safety compliance (secure seats, seatbelts or harnesses, battery secured, no loose items) — check the Self Scrutiny form (linked below) for more information.Cars must have passenger seats with seat belts or harnesses
Driver experience.
Drivers must have driven Sandown at least once or be experienced on-track. Unfortunately, this event is not for those without track experience.Spare helmets (in or out of racing date)

The show is a fundraiser for the local Football and Netball club. Our Car Show has successfully been putting a great day on for car enthusiasts and the general public for a while now and has a great following.
Make it a day to visit the Bass Coast. Enjoy a drive through the Loch hills (a memorable experience) to the show. Have breakfast at the show, enjoy the morning, then maybe head out for a drive to Inverloch for lunch, return via the well renowned Bunurong-coastal road (Inverloch to Cape Patterson coast road) finishing at the Kilcunda Lobster festival, before heading home.
The day is structured to encourage visitors to come to Wonthaggi early, and enjoy the morning, roaming amongst a vast array of cars, bikes and a swap meet stalls. And then get out amongst Bass Coast for the rest of the day.

Victorian Hillclimb Championship Round 1
This event is Round 1 of the Victorian Hillclimb Championship which consists of seven Rounds at various venues across the State and promoted by various clubs.
Hilllcimbing is one of the oldest motorsport disciplines consisting of timed runs, by a single car at a time. Awards are made for the fastest in each category with one reserved for the outright fastes on the day. The event can attract up to 100 competitors driving a diverse range of vehicles from specially built hillclmb championship cars through to modified production sports cars and sedans and road registered cars.
Admission is $10 individual adult, $20 for a full car. Full catering is provided by volunteers of the MG Car Club.
Whichever way you approach the venue it is a scenic drive close to metropolitan Melbourne.
