2024 Club Management Seminar (Risk and Finance)
The seminar was targeted to the executive committees of AOMC member clubs to promote responsible management of club operations and to provide an update on the changes being made to the income tax reporting responsibilities of Not-For-Profits by the ATO on the 1st July 2024.
The AOMC Club Management Seminar held on Saturday 22nd June 2024 was attended by up to 100 representatives of AOMC member clubs, either in-person or online.
The seminar was targeted to the executive committees of AOMC member clubs to promote responsible management of club operations and to provide an update on the changes being made to the income tax reporting responsibilities of Not-For-Profits by the ATO on the 1st July 2024.
Please note that although this was very successful in providing education on the upcoming changes, and the responsibilities of the clubs in relation to taxation, there still remains some uncertainties about how clubs should implement these changes, and the AOMC remains committed to supporting clubs through any transitions needed.
Therefore further workshops on this topic are expected in the coming months

Country Motor - Issue 55

It was great to see the variety of vehicles that delegates took the opportunity to drive to the Ballarat Delegates’ meeting in August, including this 1920s Dodge six. The Dodge is the VDC Club Car driven to the delegates meeting by a young enthusiast, the car having been donated to the club and restored by club members. It is available for the use of young members and those members without a car. More photo’s on page 18 of this issue.
Country Motor - Issue 54
The cycle car theme continues from issue 53 with a story on a veteran Swift by Gavin Muttonmain. The focus of issue 54, however, is on Vauxhalls. Vauxhalls were a sporting car in the 1920s and a few specials even add to their sporting credentials.
Country Motor - Issue 53
As promised in issue 52, issue 53 would be discussing cyclecars, a motoring phenomenon of the late teens and early 1920s. The manufacturing of such machines enabled many thousands of people to experience the chance of being a motorist in the relatively new age of the motorcar.

I’m hoping the Victorian Winter has not been too savage for you all and that you are either driving or finding the time to maintain your vehicles. Since our last delegates meeting, we have enjoyed two significant workshops and information sharing sessions, our Club Management Seminar in June featured the topics of Governance, Financial Management, Insurance, Promotions and Records Management. I’m sure all who attended took away some helpful tips that can be put to good use. All speakers donated their time and expertise and we express our thanks and appreciation…
