Club Permit Scheme - Update Feb 09. VicRoads has proposed a Log Book scheme to replace the existing scheme. The AOMC and other peak Victorian Motoring bodies have submitted comments and amendments. VicRoads is reviewing this new input. The AOMC is supporting a 90 day logbook. The AOMC position is contained in a letter sent to all AOMC member clubs in Feb 09. The letter may be downloaded here.

The 2009 Clubs Winter Seminar on Sat 18 July will relate to auto dismantlers and parts supply for classic vehicles.
More details here. The last AOMC Clubs Seminar was held on July 08. Over 120 people heard experts speak on the repair of engines, camshafts, cranks, clutches, radiators and more.

The AOMC has created a "Trip Library" for clubs seeking details of social runs in Victoria.
The AOMC is now able to search Victorian Registration records from 1910 to 1932. This is in addition to our Engine No. records.

The AOMC - FVV&CVC - VicRoads,  Club Permit Scheme Handbook current issue is June 2005 (Blue Cover). Note that the changes from the previous issue (green cover - June 01 ) are minor and the green cover version is still valid. Club Permit Holders are strongly advised to keep a copy in their vehicle. Orders should be placed with the AOMC Office.  Copies are $5.50 each (inc. post) or $3.85 ea for 10 copies or more as a bulk purchase by Clubs. See latest VicRoads Notice on Permit use.

Looking for Clubrooms?   The Historic Commercial Vehicle Club of Australia Inc are inviting a likeminded vehicle club to join them in the purchase of a suitable building in the metropolitan area for conversion to club rooms. Proposed facilities include meeting rooms, kitchen, toilets, shower, committee and library rooms, storage and undercover trailer parking.
